Product details
The Hanwag Sirius II GTX is a firm and versatile alpine boot designed for demanding touring. The clamp loop allows for different tight lacing of the front and upper part of the bootleg. The hand-raised, circumferential scree protection safeguards the upper material against wear and stabilizes the boot shape.
The ultra-thin and lightweight GORE-TEX membrane, made of stretched, microporous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), is especially suitable for warmer climates. The lining is waterproof and highly breathable.
This boot features a crampon-resistant sole for fully automatic crampons, categorized as D, making it suitable for high alpine tours, selective glacier, ice, and firn tours in pathless, extreme terrain, or for ice climbing. The stiffness of the sole, the rounding of the sole for good rolling, and the shaft construction determine the model's positioning within the categories A-B-C-D.
D indicates a very firm and fully crampon-resistant boot (step-in/automatic crampons), C indicates a firm and conditionally crampon-resistant boot (strap-on/semi-automatic crampons), B indicates a firm hold with a solid but flexing sole for trekking and hiking, and A indicates a soft, very well-flexing structure.
Weight per pair: 1940 g. Size information: normal size. Fit: normal cut.
Details include cold insulation according to DIN EN 344-1 up to -15°C, a soft upper made of leather, a tip made of TPU, a full-length cushioning wedge made of PU, and a heel made of PU for additional cushioning.
This high-cut outdoor shoe is designed for mountaineering. The upper is made of 3 - 3.2 mm thick mountain cowhide, and the outsole is Vibram Alpin Light. The GORE-TEX Duratherm membrane ensures waterproof features.
Special features include hook fixation, full crampon proof suitability, and a lacing closure system.
