Hanwag Ferrata II GTX
41.5Product details
The common denominator of climbing performance and walking comfort. Suitable for alpine rock climbing and the most demanding via ferratas – including summer high tours. Lightweight, flexible, and conditionally crampon-compatible.
The shoe is ideal for narrow paths in rocky terrain, challenging via ferratas, scree, as well as steps in snow and ice. The stiffness of the sole, the drop (how rounded the sole is to allow for good rolling), and the shaft construction primarily determine how a model is positioned within the categories.
For this reason, you will find the categories A-B-C-D for each model. This gives an idea of how stiff the shoe is. D = very stiff and fully crampon-compatible (step-in/automatic crampons). C = stiff and conditionally crampon-compatible (strap-on/semi-automatic crampons). B = firm support and solid, but flexible sole for trekking and hiking. A = soft, very well-flexing construction.
100% resoleable. Thanks to the stitched or double-stitched design, Hanwag's shoes can be resoled multiple times.
