GripGrab Faststream Aero Shoe Covers

The GripGrab FastStream Aero overshoes are designed for high-speed road cycling, where marginal aerodynamic advantages are crucial. By smoothing the airflow around the cycling shoes in an area with strong turbulence, they achieve measurable aerodynamic savings of up to 10 watts at 45 km/h in controlled tests.

The overshoes are made from a stretch material with a smooth, PU-coated exterior. Fully sealed seams and a continuous outer surface ensure clean, uninterrupted airflow over the shoe. An integrated profile under the toe cap enhances durability and wear resistance when walking.

The low-cut design extends slightly above the ankle and is intended to seamlessly integrate with aero socks. A snug fit is combined with an adjustable Velcro strap that can be tailored to the desired length, securing the fit and minimizing excess material.

The overshoes are part of the FastStream Aero concept, which aims to reduce aerodynamic disturbances around the shoe and lower leg. They are designed to be paired with GripGrab FastStream Aero cycling socks to create a clean, continuous aerodynamic interface. The overshoes are compatible only with road cycling shoes and suitable for both lace and dial closure systems.

They provide wind protection and limited water and splash resistance in the covered areas. Due to the close, race-oriented design, careful fitting is required.
