The centerpiece of the extraordinary design and performance of the Helios is the Spherical Technology, which functions like a ball joint and was developed in collaboration with MIPS, the market-leading protection system for reducing rotational forces. The unique design of the Spherical Technology allows the outer shell of the helmet to rotate a few millimeters around the inner shell during a fall, redirecting rotational energy, while the different material densities of the two shells optimally absorb impacts at various speeds. Additionally, the Helios features 15 wind tunnel ventilation openings for exceptional cooling performance, further enhanced by our patented Roc Loc 5 Air Fit System and sweat-absorbing, antimicrobial Ionic+ padding.
