Fulcrum Rapid Red 5

There are many ways to interpret something that, far from being a new trend that is only used by a few, has become a different way of cycling that is chosen by many. For some it is a new way of putting themselves to the test, for others an alternative that offers a world of new possibilities.

The Rapid Red 5 DB was designed and developed by Fulcrum for this type of cycling.

When developing the Rapid Red 5 DB, Fulcrum's research and development department drew on all the experience and technical expertise gained in the development of road bike wheels to create a model that can also be used on surfaces other than tarmac. Unpaved roads, paths and gravel tracks require a wider inner channel - in this case 23 mm - and a low, extremely resistant 24 mm rim to absorb shocks and offer excellent riding comfort, regardless of the stresses to which it is subjected.

AFS axle system
The Axial Fixing System is the solution developed by Fulcrum to fix the disc brake to the hub. The tension generated by the release mechanism, which is greater than that of conventional systems, allows greater structural rigidity and therefore a more precise and powerful braking action. The availability of the "International Standard" option ensures full compatibility of Fulcrum wheels even with the most widespread braking systems that use this mounting plan.
