Fox Racing Shox SLS Shock Spring – Robust and lightweight comfort for downhill, freeride, and enduro. When the terrain gets particularly rough downhill, steel spring shocks are more durable than air shocks on a full-suspension bike. While the latter are lighter, Fox has come up with something special with the SLS (Super Light Steel) to save weight. The special surface treatment and a stress-reduced manufacturing process reduce the internal stress of the spring, making it more resilient. This also allows for a smaller material diameter with fewer spring coils. As a result, the Fox Superlight steel springs are even lighter than titanium springs.
