The bypass channel in the lower leg ensures that during the fork's compression movement, the air volume in the lower legs is increased, reducing the additional pressure spike. This helps to address the issue of not being able to achieve full travel.

The fourth-generation FIT4 system offers three compression damping positions - open, medium, and firm - to adapt to different trail conditions.
