The bypass channel in the lower leg ensures that as the fork compresses, the air volume in the lower legs decreases, causing the air pressure to rise. The more the fork compresses, the higher the pressure increases. This effect can prevent the full travel from being achieved. The channels help solve this problem by drastically increasing the air volume in the lower legs, thereby reducing the additional unintended pressure rise.

The ratio of stiffness to weight is the ultimate metric in bicycle design. Engineers spend countless hours examining every gram of material to optimize this critical ratio. The new design pulls out all the stops, saving every gram possible while ensuring that the stiffness and strength requirements for modern enduro and gravity riding are not compromised.

In its fourth generation, the patented closed FIT4 cartridge system offers three intuitive compression damping positions - open, medium, and firm - to adapt to different trail conditions.
