Ideal for hikes where nothing should hinder your progress in the terrain. G-1000 Original is a durable and adaptable material from Fjällräven. The dense fabric is wind and water resistant and very durable, yet extremely breathable and quick drying. G-1000 is made from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, waxed with a thin layer of Greenland Wax. The wax gives the material extra protection against dirt, wind, and moisture and can easily be applied thicker or washed out as needed. Apart from wind and weather, G-1000 also protects against harmful sun rays and annoying insect bites.

Fluorocarbon-free: It's good to know that fluorocarbon is harmful to living things and the environment. Most of Fjällräven's waterproof and downproof products are 100% fluorocarbon-free. Fjällräven uses Bionic Finish Eco as an alternative impregnation. To maintain waterproof performance, Fjällräven recommends regularly spraying the products with fluorocarbon-free waterproofing spray.
