The RC1 Shorty by FIVE is a highly developed cycling glove specifically designed for road use. The synthetic palm made of abrasion-resistant AX Suede is equipped with several 3 mm Air Gel pads, which are placed under a 3 mm memory foam for added comfort. These pads are strategically positioned at the most stressed areas to minimize pressure points. The back of the glove is made from a stretchy polymesh fabric that provides an excellent fit and ventilation. Additionally, the breathable Powernet fabric in the finger gussets enhances air circulation. A practical detail is the thumb lined with MicroWipe sponge, which allows for wiping sweat while riding. The integrated tabs on the middle and ring fingers make it significantly easier to remove the glove.
