Finding the Right Bike Saddle

Finding the right saddle is a science in itself. However, you can narrow down your options if you know the distance between your sit bones. You can either have this measured by a specialist retailer or you can sit on a piece of corrugated cardboard, pull your legs up, and then measure the distance of the indentations made by your sit bones in the cardboard. Depending on whether you shift your weight more forward or backward, you should choose a saddle with a wider or narrower nose. A comfortable padding is also important.
