The MT500 helmet sets the standard for a modern mountain bike helmet in terms of appearance, safety, and performance. The core design of the MT500 helmet features Koroyd tubes that absorb more energy than traditional foams, reducing maximum impact pressure in the event of a collision. The MT500 is the first helmet on the market to meet the Koroyd Safety Initiative (KSI), which voluntarily establishes more safety-related limits to exceed standard helmet safety certification requirements. The KSI limits for maximum deceleration and HIC significantly reduce the correlated risk of severe head injuries in real-life accidents.
