Extremely simple system against pedal kickback

Easily adjustable, low maintenance, and lightweight: The new DF technology offers additional degrees of freedom, allowing you to fine-tune your bike's characteristics even more precisely. The freewheel system rotates up to a certain point before engaging. This reduces the impact of the chain on the rear suspension, enabling the suspension to operate more freely. With this system, you can find the right setup for different terrains or bikes without any tools. And if you want to optimize your bike's kinematics, an additional degree of freedom is available.

Degrees of freedom: the number of values that can vary freely in the final result of a statistical calculation.

Compatible with Ratchet DEG

The new DF technology against pedal kickback is designed to be extremely simple. It can also be retrofitted with all Ratchet DEG freewheel systems and is lighter than other solutions. Simply replace the threaded ring on the hub and the two toothed discs, and you will have three different degrees of freedom available: 0°, 10°, and 20°.

eMTB version

The new DF technology will soon be available for eMTBs as well. Due to the higher torque in this specific application, the degrees of freedom available here are 0° or 10°. The technology will be compatible with Ratchet DEG hybrid hubs featuring 60-tooth ratchets.
