This material requires significantly less thickness compared to synthetic insulation to achieve equivalent thermal protection. The advantage is a much smaller jacket volume compared to synthetic materials. The construction of the down material prevents the down from shifting, allowing this insulation material to be combined with the highly breathable outer material Pertex Quantum Air, resulting in a very warm, extremely breathable, and ultra-light thermal jacket that can be worn either as an outer jacket or as a base layer under hard shell clothing.
