Traditionally, tensile strength is the benchmark for assessing chain quality, but tensile strength is merely a static lab measurement of a chain's breaking point. Stiffness, on the other hand, is the ability of a chain to withstand loads both in everyday riding and on the racetrack. Higher stiffness means better power transfer to the ground, greater resistance to stretching under load, and better utilization of our current hypersport motorcycles. The application area is for guidance only, as the requirements for the chain vary from motorcycle model to motorcycle model.
