Traditionally, tensile strength is the benchmark for assessing chain quality, but tensile strength is merely a static lab measurement of a chain's breaking point. Stiffness, on the other hand, is the ability of a chain to withstand stresses during both everyday riding and on a racetrack. Higher stiffness means better power transfer to the ground, greater resistance to stretching under load, and improved performance for today’s hypersport motorcycles.
