Replacement brake pads for your disc brakes. Compatible with the following disc brakes: Hayes Sole, MX2, MX3, MX4, MX5, GX2, CX. Brake pads for effective braking power in any situation. It is important to alternate braking between the front and rear brakes and to follow these steps:

Step 1: Ride at 15 km/h and gradually brake to 5 km/h 10 times.
Step 2: Ride at 20 km/h and gradually brake to 5 km/h 10 times.
Step 3: Ride at 25 km/h and gradually brake to 5 km/h 10 times.

After each step, release the brakes and ride for several dozen meters to allow the disc and caliper to ventilate. Use only one brake at a time to avoid overheating the pads. Ride on a smooth surface to prevent jolting. Avoid abrupt braking during the bedding-in process. Be patient. The bedding-in process can take up to 30 minutes.

Rainbow-colored streaks on the discs or a decrease in braking power indicate that your brake pads are glazed. Feel free to contact your DECATHLON service point if this occurs. During the bedding-in process, you gradually warm up the brake pads and discs to ensure a homogeneous contact surface.

Before bedding in, you should follow these guidelines: Clean the brake discs. If you are changing the brake pads, it is also advisable to replace the discs. Use the right equipment. Wear a bicycle helmet and have a bike computer or GPS device on your bike. Choose safe terrain. Ride on flat, dry ground without obstacles.
