4Bar Tech - Easy walking without touring ski boots. The revolutionary 4 Bar Tech hinge creates a natural stride while ski touring by replacing the single pivot point of other touring bindings with a linkage-controlled virtual pivot point located directly under the ball of the foot. This unlocks the range of motion to comfortably and effectively tour in boots with or without a walk mode. Since the rotation for walking occurs through the linkage, you don’t need technical fittings in your ski boots to tour with Daymakers! On flat terrain such as approaches, ridge lines, or even gentle descents, the neutral stance of -3° of the Daymakers offsets the forward lean built into boots and bindings, ensuring a comfortable, upright position even with boots that lack a walk mode. When the terrain gets steeper, 7° and 12.5° climbing aids are available, which can be quickly and easily deployed by hand or ski pole using the Easy Levers. The Daymaker Classics are adjustable for sole lengths ranging from 274 mm to 335 mm.
