The Scarabeo knee pads have been developed around the Pro-Shape Scarabeo protector, which is inspired by the geometry of naturally occurring auxetic materials. In the event of impact or stress, these expand simultaneously in all directions, increasing the coverage area. The structure of the protector allows maximum flexibility and adaptability to all knee positions and follows the movements of the young rider - whether pedalling or descending. The Pro-Shape Scarabeo absorbs 83 % of the impact force and does not transfer the impact energy to the knee. The surface of the protector is 55 % open, which, together with the highly breathable stretch fabric, ensures excellent ventilation and optimum heat exchange even on the hottest days.
