Product details

The CushCore tire insert does more than just securely hold the tire on the rim and protect your valuable carbon rim from damage caused by pinch flats. Thanks to the use of a special foam injected in Canada that does not absorb tubeless milk, it offers four additional benefits:

– Rolling resistance is reduced by 3.2%.

– CushCore allows for lower air pressure for increased traction.

– CushCore provides the tire with significantly higher sidewall stability, as the insert presses against the inside of the sidewalls due to its V-shape. As a result, the tire no longer lifts out of the rim hook in corners, allowing you to navigate turns more safely and quickly without critical pressure loss.

– CushCore offers a noticeably effective impact and vibration damping. Laboratory tests show a reduction in impacts of up to 50%, and it eliminates up to 77% of lateral and 58% of longitudinal vibrations. This contributes to smoother rides and better bike control.

While a CushCore insert weighs between 255 grams (650B, TBC) and 265 grams (29", TBC) depending on the size, you can ride lighter rims and tires thanks to the significantly improved lateral stability and unmatched pinch flat protection, resulting in overall lighter wheels depending on the tire used.

That’s why top downhill and enduro riders like Loic Bruni, Ritchie Rude, Jared Graves, Troy Brosnan, Eddy Masters, Finn Iles, Martin Maes, Myriam Nicole, Miranda Miller, and Anneke Beerten trust CushCore.

And that’s why CushCore regularly comes out on top in comparison tests.

VITAL MTB 14.6.2017: "All-in-all, with a middle-of-the-road performance in both the price and usability departments, it was the on-bike performance that put the CushCore system on the top step of this Face Off.".
