A wider inner rim width supports a broader tire profile at the front, increasing volume and contact area while rounding the tire profile to improve cornering behavior. The stiff, tuned rear wheel supports peak loads and enhances stability and tracking at speed. A narrower inner rim width supports a slimmer tire profile at the back, improving rolling resistance and sharpening the tire edge for better grip.
