Product details
Type: single-sided map with a guide on the back. Scale: 1:40,000. Year of publication: 2024. Edition: 18. Format: B1 (68 x 98 cm). Gorce – tourist map at a scale of 1:40,000. It represents one of the most popular and attractive landscapes of the Beskids, with the Gorce National Park at its core. The mapped area covers the entire Gorce region, from the Sieniawska Pass and Raba Wyżna in the west to the Dunajec Valley and Krościenko nad Dunajcem in the east. To the south, the map is bordered by Nowy Targ and Lake Czorsztyńskie, and to the north by Mszana Dolna. The higher parts of this region are dominated by a natural landscape with extensive forest areas, interspersed with mountain clearings. From the clearings of the Gorce Mountains, there are wide views of Podhale, the Tatra Mountains, Babia Góra, the Makowski Beskids, Wyspowy, Sądecki, Pieniny, and Spiš. Characteristic of the Gorce Mountains landscape is the traditional architecture of shepherd huts. The Gorce Mountains are an attractive area for active tourism – hiking, cycling, skiing, and horseback riding. The map creates a relief impression through shading. On the back, there is general information about the depicted area, a guide, color photos, and plans of the town centers of Rabka-Zdrój, Mszana Dolna, and Nowy Targ. The map was prepared by guides from the Krakow Student Association of Mountain Guides of the PTTK Regional Branch, staff from the Gorce National Park, the PTTK branches in Rabka and Krakow, and the Podhale group of the Polish Mountain Rescue Service GOPR.
