The hotmelt tape is the best option for completely re-coating the ski skin with a hotmelt adhesive layer. If possible, first remove any old adhesive residues and dirt from the adhesive layer of the ski skin. Unroll the tape at room temperature with the film side facing down to the length of the skis and secure the ends. Stick the ski skin with the adhesive layer onto the hotmelt tape and press it down gently. Now, cut the tape to the correct size along the edge of the ski skin. Next, turn the ski skin over and slowly heat the tape with an iron at about 120 degrees with light pressure. This will transfer the adhesive. Allow it to cool completely before removing the film and mounting the cover mesh onto the adhesive layer.
