The hotmelt tape is the best option for completely re-coating the ski skins with a hotmelt adhesive layer. If possible, first remove any old glue residues and dirt from the adhesive layer of the ski skins. Unroll the tape at room temperature with the film side facing down to the length of the skis and secure the ends. Stick the ski skin with the adhesive layer onto the hotmelt tape and press it down lightly. Now, cut the tape along the edge of the ski skin to the correct size. Next, turn the ski skin over and slowly heat the tape with an iron at about 120 degrees with light pressure. This will transfer the adhesive. Allow it to cool down completely before removing the film and mounting the protective mesh on the adhesive layer.
