Product details
The Off-Axis Guider is an essential accessory for astrophotography at long focal lengths, as it allows for the highest tracking accuracy. Celestron's Off-Axis Guider uses a prism to divert a small portion of light from the telescope's image plane, enabling you to track a guide star. Any movement of this star corresponds exactly to the movements seen by the main camera. This way, an autoguider can compensate for tracking errors without being disturbed by additional sources of error such as flexure or twisting of the guide scope. The result: pin-sharp stars.
- Most precise tracking method = higher accuracy compared to a guide scope
- Multi-coated 12.5 mm prism with aluminum-coated back for maximum reflection and a bright image for the autoguider
- Helical focuser with fixed orientation for easy, accurate, and precise focusing of the autoguider
- 48 mm clear aperture allows the use of full-frame cameras without vignetting
- Adapter for the correct distance for DSLR cameras, Nightscape CCD cameras, and other common cameras for astrophotography
- Ideal for Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD telescopes.
