Product details

Planetary Camera - The NexImage 5 features a large 5-megapixel CMOS sensor for color imaging, allowing you to capture large fields of view—perfect for photographing our Moon, for example. For planets that remain very small even in large telescopes, you can reduce the readout area to keep data sizes manageable.

Resolutions between 640x480 and 2592x1944 pixels are possible, enabling you to capture as many images as possible in a short time, from which the best pictures can be filtered and combined into a finished photo using the included software. This method is the current standard for planetary photography and allows for images that were unimaginable for amateur astronomers just a few years ago. The camera has a built-in IR cut filter and can be attached to most telescopes via the 1.25" eyepiece connector or a C-thread.

Technical specifications: - 5-megapixel color camera with Micron® DigitalClarity® technology for noise reduction - Small pixels enable sub-arcsecond resolution in planetary photography with most telescopes - Live video display on PC - The software automatically filters out images most affected by atmospheric turbulence - Filter thread for standard 1.25" filters - The camera's control software allows manual adjustment of gain, contrast, exposure time, frame rate, and color saturation on the PC - Subframing - Recording of only a selected region to reduce data size is possible - Includes USB 2.0 cable.
