Celestron Basic Smartphone Adapter

Capture your observations with this practical, easy-to-use smartphone adapter and share them through almost any optical device. Whether you want to take an Instagram-worthy picture of the moon, share your latest wildlife observations with binoculars or a spotting scope, or capture lab samples with your microscope, this versatile adapter handles it all effortlessly.

Installing and using the adapter is straightforward. First, place your phone into the adapter. It is securely held in position by the locking buttons that fix your phone in place. Align the camera of your phone with the center of the eyepiece. Once you find the perfect position, clamp the adapter over the eyepiece and use the buttons to adjust for a secure fit. Note: Some large and/or bulky phone cases (including folio-style cases) may need to be removed for the phone to fit into the adapter.

Once the phone is mounted over the eyepiece, you can take still images or videos and access all other functions of your phone. You can even send your photos to a friend or post them on social media while your phone remains mounted in the adapter.

To determine if your optical device is compatible with the Basic Smartphone Adapter, simply measure the outer diameter of your eyepiece. If it falls within the range of 29 mm to 45 mm, you can use it with this adapter. The adapter does not work with riflescopes.
