The X-Flow technology reduces the amount of resin adhesive and replaces it with more high-quality Sigmatex carbon fiber from CCM. This technology is not only one of the highest quality fibers on the market but also significantly improves durability through a better strength-to-weight ratio. This is important as the stick can better handle the aggressive and powerful Max Loading Mid-Kick Point. The CCM AS1 features a stiffer taper than its predecessor, allowing the stick to store more energy that can be utilized in devastating one-timers and slap shots. The additional stiffness of the hosel, combined with the ACU3 blade core, provides maximum stability in the lower part of the stick. A major issue with powerful shots that require mid-kicks is accuracy; the blade and hosel tend to twist, reducing precision.
