Burgtec Ride High Josh Bryceland Signature Alloy Handlebar

Burgtec's first range of signature handlebars, co-developed by, yes, you guessed it! Josh Bryceland.Josh loved the sweep and rise of the Ride Wide bars, but asked us to make it a little higher. "The Rat" isn't one to be "crazy" about setup, but he knows what he wants.38MM RISE:In 2018, Josh had the idea to use something more versatile that he could use on all his bikes. After testing various prototypes, he finally narrowed it down to a 38mm Rise bar, the perfect sweet spot. The first material thought was carbon, but after riding various alloy prototypes, he simply felt more comfortable on alloy, and so the 38mm "Ride High" was born. The same unrivalled comfort and durability as the entire Ride Wide range, but just a little higher.50MM RISE:It's fair to say that high handlebars have taken a back seat over the last decade, partly due to increasing wheel sizes pushing up the front ends of bikes and riders trying to reach their previous riding position.After first coming to us just over 3 years ago and opting for the 38mm Rise bar, Josh wanted to raise the bar again, literally.We had previously prototyped the 50mm handlebar alongside the 38s, but at the time they felt they looked out of place. With more and more riders moving towards 29ers, we felt the market just wasn't ready for them.Josh quickly adapted to the 38s, but still felt he was riding a lot of stack on his bike. So he kept coming into Burgtec HQ asking if we had any 50mm rise bars and we ended up running out of prototype bars and Rats was a very convincing guy so we just decided to go into production with the 50s.For Josh, he loves how the higher rise allows for more manoeuvrability and removes the excess stack height.The bars are a natural fit for jump bikes, but as Josh and the guys show, they're equally at home on bigger travel trail bikes.Width: 800mmRise: 38mm, 50mmAvailable in 35mm clamp only.Backsweep: 9°Upsweep: 5°Weight: 38mm Rise = 346g, 50mm Rise = 391g.
