This tire was designed for regular city rides. The City 5 Protect 700×45 (28''×45) wire tire from BTWIN is ideal for urban cycling. You can tell when a tire is worn and needs to be replaced by examining the tread. Signs of wear include:

• fraying of the tread
• micro-cracks
• flattening of the tread
• visibility of the casing.

In these cases, the tire is worn and must be replaced. To remove the tire, completely deflate the inner tube. Then, you can use a tire lever to detach the tire from the rim. First, pull the tire onto the rim on one side only. Now inflate the inner tube to about 30 percent and place it inside the tire. This prevents the tube from getting pinched during inflation. Next, pull the other side of the tire onto the rim, starting from the side opposite the valve. Make sure that the tube is not pinched between the tire and the rim. Carefully inflate the tire. Do not exceed the pressure indicated on the tire sidewall. Before each ride, check that the tire pressure is appropriate. When inflating the tire, consider the terrain and especially the weather conditions. In rainy conditions, you should reduce the tire pressure to improve grip. On dry ground, however, you can increase the tire pressure.
