The powerful and versatile Spot 400 headlamp from Black Diamond is continuously being refined in terms of performance and light output. The lamp features a flat, grippy plastic body and flat control buttons for cycling through the lighting modes. A light press, even with gloves on, activates the various lighting modes of the headlamp, which boasts a total of 3 LEDs. The TriplePower LED provides excellent long-range visibility, illuminating distances of up to 100 meters with 400 lumens. For close-range illumination, two SinglePower LEDs are included. Both LEDs (for close and long-range) can be activated simultaneously, ensuring optimal lighting for both areas. In addition to these two power sources, there is a red SinglePower LED that can also be dimmed continuously, just like its two white counterparts. A flashing light mode is also available. The headlamp is powered by 3 AAA batteries (included) or the rechargeable lithium-ion battery BD 1500 (not included). When running in the evening away from city lights, runners will appreciate its lightweight design, which is hardly noticeable on the head. When reading in or in front of the tent, the lamp can be dimmed completely, which is a relief for tent mates who may want to sleep.
