One of the main reasons why the AG5NT and Boron can deliver a deadly quick shot is the proven elliptical shaft cone of the XE. Since its debut on the Vapor FlyLite stick, the XE has been refined each year with its unique elliptical shape. With a slightly extended and reinforced design compared to the HyperLite, the AG5NT stick releases faster and more precisely with every shot and pass. The puck feel can be an issue with super lightweight sticks, as the blade carries a high weight compared to the long shaft construction. However, Bauer has managed to provide connection and feedback between the hand and puck with its AG5NT blade core, in contrast to the dead and unresponsive feel that some of the earlier super lightweight sticks had.
