Ballschule Volleyball

The book "Ballschule Volleyball" is aimed at coaches working in clubs or ball school groups, as well as sports teachers in primary and lower secondary education. The curriculum is based on the central principles of development appropriateness, versatility, enjoyment, and implicit/explicit learning. It advocates for the integration of a cross-sport foundational training with established concepts of children's training in volleyball. The "Ballschule Volleyball" follows a competence-oriented approach, viewing the basic techniques as problem-solving tasks for the phases of Defensive Ball (1st contact), Controlled Ball (2nd contact), and Offensive Ball (3rd contact). The extensive practical section of the book primarily presents modular exercises with a competitive character and volleyball-related game exercises aimed at improving a total of 20 foundational competencies in coordination (A), sensorimotor-tactical skills (B), and technical skills (C), collectively forming the ABC for beginner volleyball players.
