The Hyperion 17 mm is a versatile eyepiece designed for long focal length systems such as Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes or Maksutovs. It serves as an entry-level eyepiece for observing the Moon and planets, as well as a deep-sky eyepiece for compact star clusters, nebulae, or galaxies. In addition to its excellent imaging performance in the visual range, the Hyperion eyepieces also offer many photographic opportunities. You can directly adapt your camera to the eyepiece using the auxiliary threads on the eyepiece side - perfectly centered - for optimal image quality. With the optional Hyperion extension rings, you can change the focal length of the eyepiece without adding an additional lens element and thus without any loss of quality. This way, you can achieve three magnification levels from a single eyepiece. It is available with 1.25" and 2" insertion diameters, making it compatible with any device, even those with limited focus travel.
