31 mm aspherical 2" eyepiece – with a reducer to 1¼" socket diameter and including a rubber eyecup/side light shield. The aspherical correction of an optical system addresses numerous imaging errors. Sharpness is maintained across the entire field of view, and distortion is minimized. Additionally, the eyepiece can be manufactured to be significantly more compact and lighter. Excellent viewing behavior without the "kidney bean" effect. Extremely lightweight and small, it can also be used as a photographic plan objective with all connections of the Hyperion system.
