Product details
The Hawx Ultra XTD W is one of the lightest hybrid boots for women. This means it looks and functions like a ski boot but weighs only about 1.5 kilograms. The low weight is achieved thanks to the very thin injected Grilamid shell and the lightweight liner. The Hawx Ultra XTD W is built on a sporty last with a width of 98 millimeters. However, for those who need a bit more width, the shell can be easily expanded using a heat fitting process with the help of an oven. The cuff rotation is sufficient and almost resistance-free despite the overlap construction. When closed, the Hawx Ultra XTD W is quite stiff and direct, providing the necessary flex despite the relatively rigid Grilamid. Grip Walk soles offer good walking comfort and the ability to step into all GripWalk-compatible alpine bindings. GripWalk soles fit all ID bindings from Marker and all MNC bindings from Salomon. Additionally, the Hawx is compatible with any pin binding thanks to its inserts. The Mimic Liner is thin but made from a stable and thermomoldable foam, and it is ergonomically shaped around the ankles. The buckles can be locked in the open position, which is particularly beneficial when walking. The power strap features a clamp that can be tightened securely. The Hawx Ultra XTD 115 W is a freeride boot for female riders who expect power and precision from their footwear.
