The Gel-Kayano 14 running shoe conveys a sense of retro running form, resurfacing with its late 2000s aesthetic as a tribute to the heritage Gel Kayano series. This version reinterprets the performance of the shoe with updated materials and components and is the first iteration in the sneaker's history to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano. This transition would also reinvigorate the brand's signature values while making strides in performance development. Reflecting the original midsole construction with gel technology cushioning, the shoe also improves the fit of the upper while retaining the layered leather and mesh construction from 2008.
