Combed cotton fibers are brushed to lengthen them and soften the fabric, resulting in enhanced quality. Socks made from combed cotton are noticeably softer and provide increased wearing comfort. The areas subject to friction are slightly thicker to prevent heat buildup in the shoe. Recently, the socks have been redesigned for greater resilience and longer durability.

The toe, heel, and sole are reinforced by wrapping the main cotton thread with a more durable polyamide thread. These short-cuff tennis socks include a small padding at the heel for added comfort and to prevent rubbing and skin irritation at that area. The so-called "Edge" system makes this cushioning virtually invisible in tennis shoes.

The material contains elastane, making the sock more elastic and better fitting to the foot. They may appear smaller, which is solely due to the higher elasticity. Additionally, the socks are particularly resistant to washing. A silicone band has been added in the midfoot to ensure better grip without being noticeable on the foot or restricting blood circulation.
