Altra Women's Lone Peak 8

Comfortable over hill and dale! The Lone Peak 8 Women from Altra is a trail running and lightweight hiking shoe that places special emphasis on an anatomical fit. To provide ample space for the toes and allow for unrestricted stretching, the toe box is quite wide. Altra follows a similar concept with its Balanced Cushioning: since the height difference between the heel and the forefoot is 0 mm, the foot sits as if barefoot in the Lone Peak 8. This allows the foot to take charge of balance, promoting the fitness of the musculoskeletal system. Despite the barefoot concept, the shoe is absolutely designed for movement in rugged terrain. Strategically positioned lugs on the outsole provide good traction on moderate and challenging surfaces. Additional eyelets on the instep allow for a customized lacing adjustment to fit individual foot shapes and the intensity of movement. At the heel, there is a covered Velcro patch that is compatible with Altra's separately available trail gaiters. All in all, the moderately cushioned Lone Peak 8 is the shoe for women who enjoy being active in the outdoors with light gear and want to support their feet in a natural movement.
