AKU Superalp GTX

The Aku Superalp GTX is a hiking shoe that remains comfortable even on particularly long tours or when carrying a heavy backpack. To meet these demands, the Italian shoe specialist AKU has developed the IMS3-Exoskeleton sole. The lower part consists of an outer skeleton made of polyurethane, which rises at the back to encase and protect the heel. This provides optimal support and stability while walking. The asymmetrical structure, featuring a wider inner section and a polyurethane elevation, offers support to the midfoot while preventing overexertion and thus pronation. The upper part of the midsole, with its lightweight polyurethane inner section, provides shock absorption and high pressure resistance. The Vibram sole ensures perfect grip. Additionally, the upper part of the Superalp GTX is impressive as well - the suede leather, combined with the integrated Gore-Tex membrane, offers breathability and weather protection. A rubber rand protects against debris and impacts. The Aku Superalp GTX is ideal for long-distance hikers, multi-day trips, trekking, pilgrimage routes, and anyone traveling with a tent, gear, and provisions.
