The KS Schwer 14 GTX by AKU is the first choice of the Swiss Army. This combat boot is extremely robust and durable. It is made from high-quality Perwanger leather. Perwanger produces the ideal mountain shoe leather for extreme demands from cattle hides sourced from the Alpine region, which are a byproduct of meat production. A rubber rand provides protection all around. Inside, the combat boot is lightly insulated and equipped with Gore-Tex Duratherm, making it completely waterproof. The shoe also does not compromise on the sole, featuring the extremely durable and grippy Fourà sole from Vibram. The midsole is made of polyurethane, and the footbed consists of a blend of fiberglass and extra stiff ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). The boot is conditionally crampon-compatible and is ideally suited for work in agriculture and forestry, as well as for anyone looking for an extremely durable shoe.
