AKU Alterra II GTX

With the Alterra II GTX from Aku, you don't always have to walk in the middle of the trail, but the shoe still feels most comfortable on medium-difficulty, medium-length tours in mixed terrain.

To keep your feet dry even in the rain or when crossing rivers, the hiking boot is equipped with tried-and-tested, waterproof GORE-TEX More Seasons technology. This is integrated into the shoe and ensures optimised breathability. Sweat in the form of water vapour can escape to the outside so that you feel comfortable in your shoes at any time of year and in any weather.

In addition, the upper material made with the AKU AIR 8000 system is up to 11.5 times more breathable than other GORE-TEX shoes.

The Vibram sole is known for its outstanding grip and stability on a wide variety of surfaces. It offers maximum safety and impresses with its high durability.

In combination with the Internal Midsole System (IMS3), the exoskeleton framework, in which the midsole consists of an outer skeleton made of polyurethane and is raised at the rear to surround and protect the heel, ensures optimum support and stability when walking. The asymmetric structure, with a wider inner part and a polyurethane elevation, provides support to the midfoot while preventing overload and therefore pronation.

The Elica system ensures unique wearing comfort. It moulds to the shape of the sole of the foot, supports the normal inclination of the heel and forefoot and thus reduces impact and strain. The asymmetric lacing system, combined with the tongue made from GORE-TEX stretch fabric, ensures a good fit and optimum comfort.
