The Acros MTB handlebar made from carbon was developed out of a personal need: Acros wanted a stable and lightweight carbon handlebar with a 35 mm clamp for Acros trail bikes. To achieve this, support was sought from the carbon specialists at All Ahead Composites. The applied "In-Mould-Stack-Up" technique allows for a construction that is tailored to the load. In this process, individual carbon sheets are layered in a negative mold according to a fixed plan. The upper and lower parts of the handlebar are particularly stable due to unidirectional reinforcements, while the side areas feature reduced wall thicknesses for significant weight reduction. Combined with the 35 mm clamp, this results in an unbeatable combination of maximum stability and low weight. The stability of the carbon handlebar is further evidenced by the golden seal "Multiload MTB" – this testing procedure from the independent institute Zedler is known as an absolute stress test.
