The name Steel-O-Flex stands for cable locks with high flexibility and double security at Abus. The steel cable is surrounded by overlapping sleeves made of hardened steel, resembling a chainmail. This significantly increases resistance to tampering attempts, while only moderately increasing the weight and largely maintaining flexibility. The latter also allows for easy attachment of the vehicle to a fixed object.
