Product details

During the development of the Granit Super Extreme 2500, great attention was paid to resistance to attacks with electric cut-off grinders, as this type of lock picking is increasingly being observed in large cities. The special carbide material mixture around the lock shackle and body is the answer to this phenomenon and makes it extra difficult for thieves. The shackle, housing and load-bearing parts of the lock are made of hardened steel. The Abus XPlus cylinder offers a high level of protection against manipulation such as picking. If you want to secure your bike properly, secure it with the Granit Super Extreme 2500. The USH 2500 bracket for the lock can be flexibly attached to the bike thanks to plastic-coated metal tensioning straps and optional screw holes. Helpful during installation: You can swivel the bracket by loosening two screws. To prevent the lock from rattling in the bracket while riding, it is fixed in the USH 2500 with both ends of the bracket. Not disturbing when travelling and secure when stationary.

ElektroRadTest BügelschlösserReleaseMarch 2026

The bracket of the Abus resisted the flex attack and lasted 3 minutes; the cut was not yet deep. A plastic cover protects the frame and wheel parts, the bracket is difficult to attach to the frame. Clear test winner!

Maximum resistance to attacks, excellent workmanship and a pleasantly smooth-running locking mechanism make this lock the first choice for the highest security requirements. The lock withstood all attacks. However, the rigid U-shape restricts flexibility when connecting.

If you are looking for the most secure bike lock for your bike or e-bike, you often only have the suppliers' security levels to guide you. However, these are neither standardised nor comprehensible. Stiftung Warentest offers more orientation. Our break-in tests in the laboratory show: You can actually rely on the locks with a high security level - but the best bike lock tested costs 300 euros, and...
