The bracket of the Abus resisted the flex attack and lasted 3 minutes; the cut was not yet deep. A plastic cover protects the frame and wheel parts, the bracket is difficult to attach to the frame. Clear test winner!
Here, the angle grinder meets its match with GRANIT.
For those who love their e-bike, cargo bike, or bicycle in general, protecting it against theft attempts with angle grinders is essential. A significant focus during the development of the GRANIT™ Super Extreme 2500 was to ensure maximum resistance against attacks using electric cutting tools, as this method of breaking bicycle locks is increasingly observed in large cities. Our special carbide material mixture around the lock shackle and body is the answer to this phenomenon, making it particularly difficult for thieves. The shackle, housing, and load-bearing parts of the lock are made from hardened steel. The ABUS XPlus™ cylinder offers high protection against manipulation, such as picking.
For those who want to secure their bike properly, the GRANIT™ Super Extreme 2500 is the solution. The USH 2500 holder for the lock can be flexibly mounted on the bike thanks to metal straps coated with plastic and optional screw holes. Helpful for installation: You can pivot the holder by loosening two screws. To prevent the lock from rattling in the holder during rides, it is secured with both ends of the shackle in the USH 2500. It remains unobtrusive while riding and secure when parked.

Maximum resistance to attacks, excellent workmanship and a pleasantly smooth-running locking mechanism make this lock the first choice for the highest security requirements. The lock withstood all attacks. However, the rigid U-shape restricts flexibility when connecting.
If you are looking for the most secure bike lock for your bike or e-bike, you often only have the suppliers' security levels to guide you. However, these are neither standardised nor comprehensible. Stiftung Warentest offers more orientation. Our break-in tests in the laboratory show: You can actually rely on the locks with a high security level - but the best bike lock tested costs 300 euros, and...
