Product details
The Davos sled is the absolute classic among Swiss sleds. For generations, it has been part of the winter essentials for every Swiss family. Its origins date back to the 19th century when lightweight wooden sleds were imported from Norway to Switzerland and further developed into their current form using local materials. The name Davos sled comes from the first historically documented sled race in 1883 from Schatzalp to Davos. Even back then, the Davos sled was made from ash wood. The 3R Davos sled is handcrafted in Eastern Switzerland according to traditional plans. The original ash wood sled is 90 centimeters long and comes complete with a pull strap, carabiner, and a hologram with a continuous production number.
