I bought the Therm-ic because of the possibility to operate it independently of the mains via USB. Although I did not find this option anywhere in the description, several reviews and comments point to the USB connection. In addition, this USB connection can also be found in some YouTube reviews. I was all the more surprised to find that my device does not have a USB port and is therefore actually worthless for me. Can anyone tell me what is wrong here? Have two articles been mixed up? Has anyone had the same experience or am I the only one?

Hello My Therm-ic has a USB port. I bought it about 2 years ago. This model doesn't seem to have one. The USB port is on the front in the lower "triangle" where it no longer has a port in the photo. So two models were mixed up, but only in the ratings.

Is the appliance 240 volts? Unfortunately, I have not found this information and since there are other variants, it would be useful to know.

The unit fits into a normal socket, so it is for 220 to 240 volts. It cannot be converted to a different amperage. The best way to find out whether devices with a different amperage are produced is to contact the manufacturer.
