1. Daimon Streiflichter zu Leben und Denken C.G. Jungs

Regarding the historical commentary: The fascinating kaleidoscope is based on records that Jaffé created between 1956 and 1961. How did her conversations with the elderly Jung come about, and what were Jaffé's notes? What was the nature of the relationship and collaboration between the two? Who was this woman who, despite significant ambivalence towards the endeavor, accepted the role of biographer for C.G. Jung? How did others handle Jaffé's records, her source material for the highly successful book? The present work offers far more than just insights into Jung's thoughts, creations, essence, and life; it provides a glimpse into a story that helps explain why Jaffé spoke of a process that was not only enriching but also painful.

2. Daimon Die Weisheit hat ihr Haus gebaut

To make the house of wisdom, already built in the afterlife, that is, in the unconscious, truly manifest in the individual person, the whole person is needed, with all four psychological functions of consciousness. This encounter with wholeness, which means the divine, is a profound event that renews both sides – the human and the divine. The cover image also aims to highlight this. It is by the Sicilian painter Antonello da Messina (15th century) and depicts "l'Annunciata" (Mary of the Annunciation), the fateful moment when Mary of Nazareth encounters the angel Gabriel and becomes aware of her destiny. The angel is not depicted, only she, the woman, and her shock in the encounter with the divine. The contributions published here by Marie-Louise von Franz, Rivkah Schärf Kluger, Gotthilf Isler, and Laurel Howe revolve around this encounter and the possible union of opposites between the divine and the human, the feminine and the masculine, the demonic and the redemptive. Ultimately, it is about a new image of God in which the feminine – or "Woman Wisdom" – is united with the masculine. This development has been emerging in the collective unconscious for centuries and seeks to be realized today. This volume contains an original contribution by Marie-Louise von Franz as well as additional contributions to the psychology of C. G. Jung, focusing particularly on aspects of the feminine and their psychological interpretation.

Contents:
Regine Schweizer-Vüllers, Foreword

3. Daimon The visions of Niklaus von Flüe

In a depth psychological analysis, the visions of the hermit and saint Nicholas of Flüe are interpreted, and connections to the world of legends and myths are highlighted. 8. Daimon C.G. Jung: Letters to Hedy Wyss 1936 - 1956

C.G. Jung's letters to the artist and analysand Hedy Wyss, published here for the first time, are a unique testimony to Jung's vivid and sparkling spirit. Here we encounter the lively, compassionate, and deeply human side of Jung's nature. He writes neither scientifically nor cautiously, but quite spontaneously out of his respective state of mind. He mentions his suffering from various physical ailments to Hedy Wyss, such as heart troubles and rheumatism. At the same time, he struggles for the integrity of the analytical relationship and the veracity of love. Jung wrote his most important works during the twenty years of their correspondence, concluding with Mysterium Coniunctionis. Accordingly, in many of his letters to Hedy Wyss, hidden references to the problems he wrestled with at any given time can be found throughout these works. As a result, the content of Jung's letters required a comprehensive commentary. Alongside Jung's works, a private manuscript written by Hedy Wyss, in which, years after his death, she looked back on her encounters with 'C.G.' or the 'Old Sage' as she liked to call him, furthered understanding of many details in the letters. These sources give us a unique insight into C.G. Jung's singular approach as a researcher and analyst.

9. Daimon Selbstmord und seelische Wandlung

This book discusses a new approach to the question of suicide. Contrary to legal, sociological, theological, and medical perspectives, Hillman attempts to understand the impulse for suicide from within, as a search for greater fullness of life. The author presents a new perspective on the issue of suicide from the standpoint of Analytical Psychology. In contrast to the legal, theological, and medical views that he examines in depth, Hillman seeks to understand the suicide impulse from an internal perspective. He concludes that the death impulse must be seen as a specific type of experience that—paradoxical as it may sound—is a necessity for the human soul, which can only achieve the inner transformation it is destined for through this experience.
