Product details

Amidst climate catastrophe, a shift to the right, and hopelessness, the well-known climate activist Tadzio Müller narrates in five chapters his journey from climate depression to the acceptance of the inevitability of climate collapse. He finds his way back to the movement and the hope for a livable future that he rediscovers there, despite the collapse and the rise of fascism.

In the face of the climate catastrophe, which leads not to more rationality but to greater repression, climate protection and the climate movement must fail, whether through large climate strikes or peaceful sabotage. Confronted with this failure, the societal center becomes increasingly brutalized, turning into a shameless asshole society. In this situation, the climate movement has only the path to renewal as a solidarity-based collapse movement. This requires a process of mourning, without which we cannot acknowledge uncomfortable facts. In the final chapter, Tadzio Müller aims not only to stimulate intellectual work but also to create resonances through emotional engagement.
